The context
Project overview
CrewVoyage offers experiences designed around airline crew layovers. Its audience is choosing between activities within a limited window, often in an unfamiliar city. We designed and developed a website that combines the appeal of a destination with the information needed to decide whether a tour fits the trip.
Project purpose
Help crew members discover relevant experiences, understand the time and destination involved, and move into the booking journey with useful context.
Business needs addressed
- Make destination-led tour discovery quick and recognisable.
- Present duration, location and activity type alongside each experience.
- Provide accessible booking, support and policy information for travelling users.
The design challenge
What the experience needed to solve.
A layover is a different planning problem from a conventional holiday. Time available matters as much as the destination, and crew may be browsing between flights or from a hotel. The interface needed to create excitement while making practical trip information easy to find.
Our solution
Design and development, together.
We centred discovery on destinations and tour cards that expose useful planning details early. Aviation references establish the audience connection without replacing ordinary navigation labels. Dedicated tour information and booking pathways let the visitor move from an appealing image to the details needed for a decision.

Inside the website
Features with a purpose.
Destination search
The tour area provides region and city selection, giving crew a direct route into experiences relevant to their next stop.
Informative tour cards
Cards combine destination imagery, duration, location, activity categories and published starting prices, with a clear route to the tour.
Booking pathways
Prominent booking actions lead visitors from discovery toward trip selection, supported by information about the booking process and policies.
Crew-focused editorial content
The brand story, travel articles and support content keep the site grounded in the particular needs of airline crew.
User experience
A journey built around the audience.
Tour duration and destination sit close to the visual content, making them part of discovery rather than details hidden at the end of a page. Consistent card patterns help users compare experiences with different activities and locations without relearning the interface.
Across screen sizes
A considered mobile experience.
The mobile experience brings search, tour imagery and trip details into a vertical flow. This suits an audience likely to browse while travelling: the essential context is readable within each card, and the next action remains attached to the selected experience.
