Effective 12 September 2026
This policy explains how 1XTECHS, a design and development agency based in Canada, handles personal information in connection with this portfolio website and enquiries sent to us. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@1xtechs.com.
Information you choose to provide
If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your name, email address, company, project requirements and correspondence. Please share only information relevant to your enquiry. Do not include passwords, payment details, identity documents or confidential information you are not authorised to disclose.
How the enquiry form works
Submitting the enquiry form sends your name, email address, company, timeline, selected service and message to the 1XTECHS server. We validate the submission, store it in our enquiry database and notify the team at our contact email address so we can review and respond to your request.
Form entries are held in the current page while you complete the form. We do not use browser storage to retain your project brief. Once you submit successfully, your enquiry is retained in our records as described below. Your browser may independently offer autofill or history features.
Technical information and browser storage
Serving a webpage involves processing technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, browser headers and request time. The hosting infrastructure may record this information for operation, diagnostics and security. We do not use the portfolio website to build advertising profiles.
The homepage uses a session-storage flag to remember that its introduction has been shown in the current browser tab. It contains no name, email address or project brief. The website does not include advertising pixels, audience analytics, social tracking widgets or embedded client websites. Project images and fonts are served as local website assets. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Why we use information
We use enquiry information to respond, clarify requirements, assess whether we can help, prepare proposals and maintain the relevant business correspondence. If you become a client, information needed to deliver and administer the engagement may also be handled under the project agreement. We may use relevant records to protect our systems, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. Sending a project enquiry does not subscribe you to a mailing list. We will seek appropriate consent before using your information for a new purpose that is not reasonably connected with your request, unless the law permits or requires otherwise.
Consent and your choices
You decide whether to contact us and what to include. By sending an enquiry, you ask us to use the information needed to respond to that enquiry. You may withdraw consent for optional uses by emailing us. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing already carried out and may limit our ability to continue a requested service. Information required for legal obligations or an ongoing contractual matter may need to be retained.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be handled by service providers needed to operate our website, communicate by email or deliver an agreed project. Their access should be limited to the relevant purpose. We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. We do not provide your project brief to the businesses featured in our portfolio merely because you viewed their case studies.
Internet hosting and email delivery can involve processing outside your country, including outside Canada, depending on the services involved. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and lawful access requests. Contact us if you need information about the handling arrangements relevant to your enquiry before sharing sensitive material.
Retention and protection
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, an ongoing business relationship, or applicable legal and record-keeping obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it non-identifying. Retention depends on the nature of the enquiry or engagement.
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and restrict access to those who need it for the relevant work. No website or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. If a privacy incident requires notification under applicable law, we will take the steps required by that law.
Access, correction and privacy concerns
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask about retention, or raise a concern by contacting info@1xtechs.com. We may request enough information to verify your identity before providing records. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful limit on access, deletion or disclosure.
If a concern is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy regulator with jurisdiction over your matter. Nothing in this policy limits rights provided by applicable privacy law.
External websites and children
Live project links lead to independently operated websites. Their cookies, enquiries, purchases and privacy practices are governed by their own policies. This portfolio is intended for people seeking professional business services and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can assess and address it.
Policy updates
We will update this page when the website’s information practices change and revise the effective date. Where a change requires notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it. Privacy enquiries can be sent to info@1xtechs.com.
